Gui Weihua is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a national model for teaching and education, and a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University. He is currently the director of the Academic Committee of Central South University, the academic leader of the National Natural Science Foundation of China's innovative research group, the director of the "Nonferrous Metallurgical Automation" Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education, the vice chairman of the Chinese Automation Society, the vice chairman of the Chinese Nonferrous Metals Society, and the Chairman of the professional committee of the process control of the Chinese Automation Society.
He has long been committed to complex industrial process control theory, technology and engineering application research, and has made breakthroughs in automation of non-ferrous metal smelting and aluminum processing processes such as copper, aluminum, lead and zinc, and has achieved remarkable results in applications. He has won 3 second-class National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 1 second-class National Technological Invention Award, and 12 first-class provincial and ministerial awards; he also won the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award in 2009 and the Hunan Guangzhao Science and Technology Award in 2012. He has won honorary titles such as “National Model Teacher”, “National Outstanding Teacher”, “National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker”, and “National Model Worker in the Nonferrous Metal Industry”.

Qian Feng is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and expert in automatic control and process system engineering. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology, the chief scientist of the National Process Manufacturing Intelligent Control Technology Innovation Center, the director of the Key Laboratory of Energy and Chemical Process Intelligent Manufacturing, the Ministry of Education. He is also the deputy director of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Instrument and Control Society. He also holds positions as a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Central Committee member of the Jiusan Society, and the Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Committee.
He has long been engaged in research on the applied fundamentals, key technologies, industrial software and the integration of systems for smart process manufacturing, focusing on the efficient utilization of resources and energy in energy chemical processes. He has won 1 First-Prize for Higher Education National Teaching Achievement Award, 5 Second-Prizes for State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and more than 40 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards including 16 provincial and ministerial-level first-prizes.

Professor Lixin Tang is an IEEE Fellow, a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, a Vice President of Northeastern University, China (in charge of scientific research and international affairs), a Deputy to the 14th National People's Congress, the Head of the national first-class key discipline of control science and engineering (automation) at Northeastern University. He is the Director of Key Laboratory of Data Analytics and Optimization for Smart Industry, Ministry of Education, China, the Director and Chair Professor of the National Frontiers Science Center for Industrial Intelligence and Systems Optimization, and the Chief Designer of Industrial Software for National Engineering Research Center on Computer Software, Northeastern University. He is also a member of the discipline review group of the State Council for Control Science and Engineering, the Vice Director of Artificial Intelligence Special Committee in Science and Technology Commission, Ministry of Education, China, a member of the National Industrial Internet Strategy Advisory Expert Committee, the Vice President of Chinese Society for Metals, the Vice President of Operations Research Society of China (ORSC), and the Founding Director of Data Analytics and Optimization Society for Smart Industry of ORSC, a Member of Advisory Committee of Automation Department at Tsinghua University and Technical Committee of National Engineering Laboratory of Big Data Analysis and Application Technology at Peking University. And he won the National May 1st Labor Medal in 2017.
His research interests cover industrial intelligence and systems optimization theories and methods, covering industrial big data, data analytics and machine learning, deep learning and evolutionary learning, reinforcement learning and dynamic optimization, convex and sparse optimization, integer and combinatorial optimization, and computational intelligence-based optimization. For technologies, he mainly investigates on systems optimization technology for plant-wide production and inventory planning, production and logistics batching and scheduling, process optimization and optimal control; quality analytics technology such as process monitoring, equipment diagnosis, and product quality perception; industrial intelligence technology such as image and speech understanding and visualization. Meanwhile, he applies the above theories and technologies to engineering applications in steel manufacturing industry, equipment/chip manufacturing industry, logistics industry, energy industry and information industry.
He currently serves as an Associate Editor of IISE Transactions, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Journal of Scheduling, and International Journal of Production Research. Meanwhile, he is on the Editorial Board of Annals of Operations Research, and serves as an Area Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research.

Qiao Junfei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing University of Technology, head of the Innovation Research Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Huang Danian style teaching team of national universities, specially-appointed professor of Changjiang Scholars from the Ministry of Education, and recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. He is currently a member of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, the director of the Smart Environmental Protection Beijing Laboratory, and the director of the Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Perception and Autonomous Control of the Ministry of Education. His research interests are in the field of computational intelligence, intelligent optimization control, and environmental automation. He proposed the theoretical methods for intelligent characterization and optimization control of pollution prevention and control, and surmounted multiple key technologies such as real-time detection of pollutants and intelligent optimization control of pollution control processes. He published over 200 academic papers in authoritative journals such as IEEE Transactions and IFAC Transactions, got authorized over 100 China and U.S. invention patents, published 6 academic works, and won second prize in the National Science and Technology Advancement Award, first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, etc.

Zhang Chenghui is a chair professor at Shandong University, a national high-level talent, and the leader of the innovative research group of the National Foundation for New Energy Power Generation System Optimization Control. He led the team to successfully develop two types of core grid-connected equipment such as photovoltaic power generation and new energy power quality control, broke through the key control technologies for large capacity, high reliability and high efficiency of new energy grid-connected equipment, made contributions to the development of new energy in my country. He was elected as an IEEE Fellow and selected into the lifetime achievement list of the top 2% of the world's top scientists released by Stanford University.
He has won 4 national awards as the first completer, including 2 second-class National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 2 second-class National Teaching Achievement Awards, and also won the Ho Leung Ho-Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award, the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, and the National Innovation Excellence Award. He was awarded the honorary titles of National exemplary individual, National Ten Thousand Talents Program Famous Teacher, and led the team to be selected into the Huang Danian-style teacher team of national universities. In 2021, he will enter the second round of review for the selection of additional members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Currently serving as a chair professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; Director of South China Branch of National Engineering Research Center for Industrial Automation. Simultaneously serving as the founding director of the Advanced Forming Technology Society; Chairman of the Process Monitoring and Control Branch of the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE); Member of the Chemical Process Control Technical Committee of the International Federation of Control. Led and undertaken over 60 international, national, provincial, and municipal research projects with a total funding of over HKD 150 million. I have published 6 monographs and over 300 papers from internationally important journals (SCI included), as well as over 100 papers from internationally important conferences. I have won the Best Injection Molding Paper Award at the highest international academic conference in the field of plastic processing held by the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) twice. Apply for over 60 domestic and foreign patents. In 2012, the project "Basic Theory Research on Batch Process High Performance Control System" led by the team won the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education.

Richard Lakerveld is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from Delft University of Technology (TUD) in the Netherlands. He was a postdoctoral associate at MIT and subsequently joined TUD as an assistant professor. He joined HKUST in 2014 as an Assistant Professor where he was promoted to Associate Professor with substantiation in 2020. His research interests are in the field of process systems engineering with a focus on the design and operation of crystallization-based separation processes and directed self-assembly. His group has developed new concepts and computational tools for continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, intensified crystallization processes, 3D printing, protein crystallization, and integrated solvent and process design for separation processes. His research is both experimental and computational. He was the recipient of an NWO Veni Award in 2013, which is an early career award from the Dutch Science Foundation. His other personal awards and grants include the Novartis-MIT Enabling Control System Award and several GRF Awards from Hong Kong's Science Foundation, which are competitive personal grants aimed at supporting cutting-edge research. He also received the School of Engineering Teaching Excellence Appreciation Award at HKUST, and he is a member of the 2019 Class of Influential Researchers of the journal Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research. He is an editorial board member of the journals Chemical Engineering Research and Design and Digital Chemical Engineering. He has also served on the program committees of several international conferences in chemical engineering.

Feng Enbo received his PhD from East China University of Science and Technology in 1991. From 1991 to 1994, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Automation Department of Tsinghua University and stayed at the school to teach. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the National University of Singapore and the University of Alberta, Canada. Since 1997, he has served as senior engineer and chief engineer of advanced process control of Celanese Corporation, chief engineer of advanced process control and optimization of Shell Petroleum Corporation, and director of advanced control and optimization department of Petro-Canada. He joined China National Chemical Corporation in September 2017 and serves as the head of the Blue Star Group's Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence Center. He is now a national high-level innovation leader, a chair professor at East China University of Science and Technology, a member of the Standing Committee of the Process Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation, a member of the Standing Committee of the Industrial Big Data Professional Committee, and a member of the "Industrial Internet + Chemical Production Safety" expert advisory group of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Within the context of the Information Systems Green Intelligent Manufacturing paradigm, he focuses on the convergence of Automation OT and Digital IT. Particularly during the ongoing digital transformation era, he leverages the fusion technology of IoT and AIoT to optimize crucial elements in production sites, namely "people" and "equipment," while also optimizing key elements contributing to society—such as "production," "energy," and "environment." This approach propels the advancement of an enterprise's new lifecycle management and service governance model.
Yuuki Kikuchi is a leading figure in constructing information networks and driving advancements. He has deep expertise in Japan's industrial motor product manufacturing (MES, APS), sales/logistics management of automotive components (SCM), and process production in the food/beverage industry (MES, ERP).
Having resided in China in recent years, he has been deeply involved in the continual development and adoption of digital transformation concepts across various fields such as mechanical processing, 3C product development, and upgrades in the food and automotive manufacturing sectors. He is instrumental in steering the evolution from intelligent manufacturing towards green intelligent manufacturing.
